Gosh- what an amazing few weeks 2013 has been for me!  I’ve been knocked over with such great news, and for a person who loves weddings more than anything else- it’s made my whole year!

First of all, while traveling in New Zealand with my wonderful boyfriend over the holidays (he’s a Kiwi!) I got the news at the local library (free wifi!) that I had finally won a gold metal with WPJA (Wedding Photojournalist Association), but not just for second or third place, but for the mother of all places… first, a FIRST place, for one of my photos!!  It was so exciting mostly because I’ve been trying in earnest for 6 years and there are thousands of entries in each category, so I busted out in tears there in the tiny library in the middle of nowhere!  WPJA is the premier organization for wedding photojournalism, so it’s indeed such an honor!

And the second thing is that I was awarded with WeddingWire’s Bride’s Choice for 2013!  Woot woot!

Number three is that I was chosen to be the only photographer at the Gump’s Bridal Fair, February 10th!! Yes- Gump’s- San Francisco’s most prestigious shop ever!

And number four just arrived today- my second greeting card with Palm Press Inc.!!! http://www.palmpressinc.com    They chose this photo below from another contest I had won with WPJA and asked to use it for a greeting card!  Heck ya!
