Thank you Karen and Mark for writing such a lovely review that took me to this exciting number!
Mazel tov, Samantha and Andrew! Tonight was epic!
Gosh- how far behind I am on posting weddings! I think there must be 25 I haven’t written about this year. Alas, but it’s always been my priority returning wedding photos to couples 2-weeks after their wedding day instead of writing the blog and doing marketing! As it should be!
Kristina and Scott had a charming, holiday wedding yesterday at the Piedmont Community Church and Guild Hall. The alter was covered with poinsettias- it was utterly gorgeous!
Anyhow, my very best wishes for fulfilled dreams to us all and a lovely 2014!
Gosh- I had such a boatload of fun at Janelle and Farhad’s wedding!
We recreated a few Pinterest fav’s plus had fun with a vintage Corvette and some awesome rain clouds!
What a magical evening I had with Lizzie and John today! From the redwood forests to a mystical and foggy night, it was utterly perfect! Congrats, m’dears! ♥♥ 🙂
Her feet never hit the ground! Congrats Keli and Chris!! Tonight all of your high school dreams came true! Twelve years in the making. ♥♥
It was a stunning wedding in Oakland, I do have to say!
I’m glad people take advantage of the free downloads with my wedding services! Yippee!
What a lovely honor to be chosen for a second year to be a pre-selection judge for the Adobe Design Achievement Awards, 2013! Tons of hard work, but it’s so cool to see what young photographers are doing in universities now! Yea, Adobe!
What fun I had with Suchi and James in Davenport for their engagement shoot! The pastel they chose and the foggy day worked so nicely together!
What an evening! Congratulations Alison and Andrey on a lovely Legion of Honor wedding! Having flown in for the wedding from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for the nuptials, our fair city sure showed you a grand time!
Hearty congrats go out to Cindy and Duran, who knew how to put the G in the Q!
Justin Timberlake moves in the Sonoma Mission! Apparently last fall, Justin Timberlake jumped over his bride on the cover of People Magazine and Jim wanted to reenact the fun. Congrats to you both!
Welcome, baby Cameron! ❤ ❤ ❤
Well- I just was ecstatic when Marina and Daniel kicked up their heals last night on the dance floor at the Brazilian Room! What great dancers!
Little Savannah was a preemie and had a pretty hard time in her first month. Now she’s four months old! ❤ ❤ ❤ I love my free baby sessions, but probably not as much as my couples do!
I love the new company I’m working with to display and download my couple’s wedding photos! And finally, I’ve found a company that will do the full-sized photos! This was from a very small, 6-hour wedding in Oakland! Schweet!
Courtney and Spencer found me from Provo, Utah and I couldn’t have been more giddy! The were married at the LDS Oakland temple, which is utterly magical! Although it was different to be at a wedding without attending the ceremony, for I am not a member of the church, we made up for it taking lovely portraits around the grounds. What a beautiful couple! ❤ ❤ ❤
This was just published in the New York Magazine a few days ago. Pretty interesting!
Well- there was a special energy in the air on Melissa and Mike’s wedding day. I don’t know if it was because I was so star-struck at how stunning Melissa looked- and get this- her heart is just as beautiful on the inside! I found myself singing the song, “Sweet Melissa” by the Allman Brothers all day long!
They hand-picked their guests with the upmost finesse, (hey- that rhymes!) but their family was what truly stuck out as gold for me that day. The feeling of a loving and devoted Italian family was so present, it was palpable and I was so thankful to be been included! I spoke with Michael’s mother on the way out and told her how struck I was at how close their family was and she was so gracious- I felt honored, moved and wholeheartedly included. It was a lovely day. ❤❤❤
Gosh- what an amazing few weeks 2013 has been for me! I’ve been knocked over with such great news, and for a person who loves weddings more than anything else- it’s made my whole year!
First of all, while traveling in New Zealand with my wonderful boyfriend over the holidays (he’s a Kiwi!) I got the news at the local library (free wifi!) that I had finally won a gold metal with WPJA (Wedding Photojournalist Association), but not just for second or third place, but for the mother of all places… first, a FIRST place, for one of my photos!! It was so exciting mostly because I’ve been trying in earnest for 6 years and there are thousands of entries in each category, so I busted out in tears there in the tiny library in the middle of nowhere! WPJA is the premier organization for wedding photojournalism, so it’s indeed such an honor!
And the second thing is that I was awarded with WeddingWire’s Bride’s Choice for 2013! Woot woot!
Number three is that I was chosen to be the only photographer at the Gump’s Bridal Fair, February 10th!! Yes- Gump’s- San Francisco’s most prestigious shop ever!
And number four just arrived today- my second greeting card with Palm Press Inc.!!! http://www.palmpressinc.com They chose this photo below from another contest I had won with WPJA and asked to use it for a greeting card! Heck ya!
Thanks Meagen and Anthony for letting Palm Press use your photo!
Thanks for sharing my joy of 2013! It’s been quite a ride! 😀
Yup! I miss my couples so much after the wedding- I offer everyone free baby portraits!! These two darlings were born 7 weeks ago to the proud parents who were married 3 years ago at the Saratoga Country Club on a perfectly beautiful day. What a double blessing of happiness! Congrats Helen and Joseph! ❤❤❤❤
You gotta love a bride with a mother who goes to Burning Man and has a huge swing set in her backyard! Also a groom who’s a professional dancer! What a perfectly lovely wedding at their family home in Danville. Congrats Rebecca and Clay!
What might just be the most fun I’ve ever had on an engagement session happened a few days ago in San Francisco with Danielle and David! We had such an epic time, and thanks to them and their ‘can-do’ attitude, we got awesome photos! A handful of people asked if they were models, and I said, “Well, yes! Look at them!” ; )
Well…. tonight sure was fun! My very first attempt with HDR wedding portraits! I’d have to say, it looks pretty fun in its unnaturalness! Is that a word?!?! Hmm. And it was supposed to be totally raining today- Michelle and Sean sure must’ve danced their toes off with their ‘non-rain-dance’ to give us such blue skies. A perfect blessing for the beginning of their lives together. May we all have such fair winds and following seas.
What fun it is to do a wedding in another city…especially New York! Thank you Stephanie and Paul for making it all possible and for wanting to go to Coney Island in the dark! It was epic!
I was so glad when I saw the wispy clouds headed into The City earlier this afternoon. I just knew we’d have a good sunset, but I didn’t know HOW good it would be! Lauren and Danny came all the way from Ohio to do this engagement shoot, so I’m glad San Francisco didn’t disappoint!
